Council continues to engage two contractors to complete waste and recycling collections this week. All collections are currently on schedule.

Collections over the public holidays will continue as normal.

Waste collections are still a day behind this week as replacement trucks have not yet arrived. Friday’s collection is expected to run into tomorrow. Council aologises for the inconvenience.

Waste collections continue to experience delays and some areas may have their waste collected a day late. This is due to the delay in the arrival of replacement trucks. Residents are advised to please keep their bins out until collected.

Recycling collections are being carried out by a second operator and are on schedule.

Council apologises for the continued inconvenience and thanks residents for their patience.

Council is continuing to work with two contractors to deliver the waste and recycling kerbside collections this week. Both waste and recycling collections may not be fully completed today. Residents are asked to make sure their bins are out tomorrow if they have not been collected today.

Residents who have had any collections missed from last week are asked to contact our Customer Services Team on 6211 8200.

Contractors have advised that replacement vehicles should be in operation tomorrow and are expected to resume to a full service this week. We thank you for your patience during this time.

We have been asked to advise residents to please keep their bins out. The remainder of Margate and Snug is to be completed in the morning. Apologies for the inconvenience.

All recycling collections should now be completed for the week.

Waste collections are ongoing and are currently at least one day late. Council advises residents to please leave their bins out on Saturday if not yet collected.

All collections are expected to be completed on Saturday.

However, if your bin has not been collected by Saturday evening, please take your bin in as high winds are expected on Sunday. Contact Council on 6211 8200 on Monday after 9am if your collection from this week is still outstanding. Further resources are expected to be in service on Monday and we do expect normal service to resume.

Recycling collections will be on schedule for Friday’s collection.

Waste collections are currently a day behind and Friday’s collection will be carried out on Saturday.

Council’s advice is to still leave your bins out until collected. If your collection is over a day late, please contact our Customer Services Team on 6211 8200.

Replacement vehicles are expected to arrive tomorrow and a full service is expected to resume next week.

Kerbside collections are behind this week due to the limited number of trucks available. Council is working closely with two contractors to organise all missed collections and scheduled collections. Residents are advised that all collections may be a day behind and that collections may extend into the weekend. Please keep your bins out until they are collected.

Council’s contractors are expecting more resources at the end of the week and we expect a full service to resume next week. We apologise for the continued inconvenience and greatly appreciate your patience.

Most of last week’s collections should now be complete. Council is aware of some missed streets in the Margate area and these will be collected today.

Council has engaged two contractors to carry out collections, and we are organising them to concentrate on types of collections to avoid confusion and unnecessary duplication. Council’s current advice for all residents to keep putting bins out when scheduled and leave them out until collected.

Collections scheduled for Monday, 12 March – The waste collection for the Bonnet Hill, Kingston Beach and Blackmans Bay areas should be complete. The recycling collection for these areas will be started today and is likely to extend into tomorrow.

Collections scheduled for Tuesday, 13 March – The waste collection for the Kingston and Blackmans Bay areas will start as scheduled today but may extend into tomorrow.

Collections scheduled for Wednesday, 14 March – The waste collection for Huntingfield, Blackmans Bay and Howden areas will commence once Tuesday’s collections are completed. These collections may extend into Thursday. The recycling collection for these areas is on track to start and finish on Wednesday.

Wednesday’s and Friday’s collections should now be complete.

Areas that have a Thursday collection will be completed over the weekend. It may be that these collections continue into Sunday due to the reduced availability of trucks. Please make sure you keep your bins out.

Monday’s collection is still scheduled to occur on the public holiday. However, due to truck availability this collection may continue into Tuesday.

Please make sure your bins are out at the usual times for next week’s collection. We will continue to update our website and social media from Tuesday morning.

If your bins have not been collected from this week, please let Council know on Tuesday by calling our Customer Service team on 6211 8200.

Contractors engaged to carry out Wednesday’s collection have now completed the Blackmans Bay, Huntingfield and Howden areas. If you live in this area and are part of the Wednesday collection but your bin has not yet been collected – please contact Council on 6211 8200.

Collections scheduled for Thursday have not yet been completed. Residents are advised to keep their bins out. If they are not collected today, contractors will return tomorrow.

Friday collections are currently on schedule and are expected to be completed today.

A further update will be posted this afternoon on our website and social media channels.

Contractors engaged to carry out Wednesday’s missed waste collections in Kingborough have almost completed the collection. Any outstanding areas will be completed tomorrow.
 
Collections due to occur today have been part completed, with the rest planned for collection tomorrow.
 
Areas due for a Friday collection are planned to be carried out as usual, however any outstanding areas will be collected on Saturday.
 
Disruptions are likely to continue into next week and we will provide an update once resources are confirmed.
 
We thank everyone for their patience and again advise residents to keep their bins out until collected, or to put them out as usual. Please help us spread the word and share this information with friends, families and neighbours.

Council has arranged for today’s collection service to be carried out tomorrow. This includes Blackmans Bay, Huntingfield and Howden areas.
 
Residents who have their collection on a Thursday are advised to put their bins out as usual. Contractors will attempt to complete the Thursday round but acknowledge this may not be fully completed until Friday.
 
Disruptions to the collection service are likely over the coming week as Council arranges alternative solutions. We advise residents to put their bins out as usual.

Following an incident with Council’s waste contractors this morning, there will be no kerbside collection today, Wednesday 7 March, in Blackmans Bay. Tomorrow’s collection in Summerleas Road and Taroona may also be affected.

Council is currently investigating all available options to reinstate the service as soon as possible. Updates will be published on our website and social media channels as we receive them.
