Kingston Beach One-Way Trial Survey Closes Soon

The survey seeking feedback on the Kingston Beach one-way trial will be closing at 5 pm on Monday, 2 July 2018.

The one-way trial was requested by the Kingston Beach Community Association due to concerns about traffic speed and public safety in the precinct. Council approved for a trial to be put in place for a three-month period.

Council staff are encouraging residents, businesses, community groups and organisations in the Kingston Beach precinct to make sure they have submitted their feedback on the one-way trial. Community feedback will be an important element for the Council to consider in deciding whether the one-way trial becomes permanent, or if the two-way system should be reinstated.

A report will be presented to Council, which will include all of the community feedback and traffic assessments. The one-way system will remain in place at Kingston Beach until Council considers the report and adopts a position for its future.
