The Advice Alert has been reduced to No Alert level for Slatterys and Snug Tiers roads in Electrona. Thanks Tasmania Fire Service and all crews.
The fire has been contained, and crews will continue to monitor and patrol over coming days.
A total fire ban has been declared for all municipalities in the southern region for two days from 2am Thursday 31 October until 2am Saturday 2 November.
During that period it is illegal to light a fire in the open air, including incinerators, burn-offs, campfires, fire pots, and wood-fuelled barbecues.

There is a bushfire at Slatterys and Snug Tiers Road, Electrona.
There is no immediate threat, however people should keep up to date by listening to the ABC local radio or by the Tasmania Fire Service website – Alerts page.
