Family Fun at the Hub

Come along to a family fun day at the Kingborough Community Hub on Saturday 21 May and celebrate Families Week with puppets, a magician and great food.

National Families Week runs from 15 to 21 May 2022 and celebrates the important role that families play in our community.

Kingborough Deputy Mayor, Jo Westwood said that Council was committed to activating its Community Hub and providing the community with a range of activities and events.

“Families with children account for 58% per cent of Kingborough’s population.

“Our Families Day celebration starts at 11.30am at the Community Hub.

“The Well Fed Tasmanian Food Truck will be onsite offering free nutritious snacks for the whole family to enjoy.

“There will be a range of healthy dips, muffins and fresh fruit.  Free recipes and resources for healthy cooking will also be available.

“At 12.30pm Dazza the Magnificent, a Tasmanian magician, will amaze everyone with his fun filled magic show.

“This will be followed by a puppet show, with some insights on how to master ventriloquism.

“There will also be a puppet making opportunity for the children after the show.
