Be part of Kingborough’s first Night of Lights on Friday 3 June at the Kingborough Community Hub.

Kingborough Mayor, Paula Wriedt said Council would provide the event to celebrate the beginning of winter and entice everyone out for a visual feast.

“The Night of Lights will include two laser light shows, a fire twirling performance and kids’ glow in the dark activities, video art and of course food and drink.

“Centred around the theme of light, the Night of Lights will start at 6.30pm,” Cr Wriedt said.

“There will be some exciting activities for children including a come and try LED circus toy workshop by the Hobart Fireflies as well as glow in the dark craft stations, set up in the Middleton room.

“We will also be screening some work from animator, Studio Luck Dragon in the auditorium on a large screen where children and adults can lay back and watch the short animations and grab some free popcorn.

“Then at 7pm the lights dim down for the first laser show by Brendon at BVAV who will fill the Town Square with a visual feast supported by a specially curated soundtrack produced by Max Best.

“At 7.45pm a dazzling fire twirling performance will kick off the FyreBird Flow Collective with the final laser show to begin at 8.30pm to round off the night.
