Resignation

Kingborough Mayor, Paula Wriedt announced the Director of Environment, Development and Community, Dr Katrena Stephenson would resign from her position at Council at the end of August.

“Dr Stephenson has advised us she would be spending more time in supporting her family, something we can all understand,” Cr Wriedt said.

“Having come to Council in January 2020, after being CEO of the Local Government Association of Tasmania, Katrena has brought a broad range of skills and experience to Council.

“Dr Stephenson is held in high esteem by her colleagues and all Councillors and will be missed.

“We have been fortunate to have the benefit of Katrena’s strategic thinking and strong leadership in this role.

We wish her and her family all the very best.”

“I have loved my time at Council,” Dr Stephenson said.

“The work is challenging but rewarding and the Kingborough community should know they have amazingly talented and dedicated people working on ensuring Kingborough remains a wonderful place to live, work and play.”

“Dr Stephenson’s position will be advertised in the near future,” said Cr Wriedt.
