Pride Film Festival

Kingborough Council and Art Screen events will be holding an inaugural 3 day film festival to celebrate Pride month in June at the Kingborough Community Hub.

Kingborough Mayor, Paula Wriedt said the festival would screen award winning films and stage productions from around the world.

“The festival will screen some fantastic movies, like Kinky Boots the Musical, Supernova, Pride, Priscilla, Rainbow Shorts and Swan Song across three days and nights at the Kingborough Community Hub,” Cr Wriedt said.

“This film festival is a great way to celebrate LGBTIQA+ inclusiveness in our community.

“The collection includes uplifting comedy, drama and the very special compilation of the best LGBTIQA+ short films from Australia and around the world.”

The Art Screen Event licenced ‘Candy Bar’ will be open throughout the film festival where Tassie bubbles, hot food and sweet treats can be purchased.
