Kingston CBD Street Celebration

Kingborough Council is celebrating the transformation of Kingston’s CBD on Saturday 18 November from 10am – 2pm on Channel Highway Kingston.

Mayor, Paula Wriedt, invited the Kingborough community to stop by in Kingston for some great food, music, roving children’s entertainers, street performers and the 7HOFM breakfast team.

“Saturday 18 of November is all about enjoying the new CBD that has been created for the community,” Cr Wriedt said.

“There will be musicians and buskers, free facepainting, Social Circus, children’s entertainment by Mr Shaggles and a live broadcast from 7HOFM with the brekkie team, Sarah, Mick & Johnno.

“We have spot prizes to give out on the day so grab your friends and family and head down to our Street Celebration for a bite to eat and free entertainment.

“There will be a chance to learn some skills with Social Circus and listen to some of Kingborough’s newest and most talented performers.

“We are very proud of how the street is looking and this celebration will be a great way to enjoy the space, support the businesses and see some great entertainment.

“The upgrades have improved the cycling facilities, created new greener areas and produced some fantastic outdoor dining spaces for cafes and restaurants along the Channel Highway.

“The CBD upgrade was funded through the State Government’s City Deal with a $7.9M grant,” Cr Wriedt said.
