Kingborough End of Life Expo 2026

Kingborough Council is hosting the End of Life Expo as part of National Advance Care Planning Week.

Acting Mayor Clare Glade‑Wright said the Expo is taking place on Wednesday 25 March at the Kingborough Community Hub, and will raise awareness of the local services available to support residents in planning and managing their end‑of‑life decisions.

“The End of Life Expo will feature a range of exhibitors and groups, including Palliative Care Tasmania, funeral services, independent doulas and hospice representatives. You can also see examples of natural and environmentally sustainable caskets and coffins,” Cr Glade‑Wright said.

“There will be a program of free talks running throughout the day, and we are thrilled to have such a high calibre of speakers covering a wide variety of interesting and informative topics.

“You can learn about planning and downsizing your estate; information on palliative care; advance care planning and other essential paperwork; the role of doulas; natural burials and water cremations; voluntary assisted dying; grief and bereavement; and support for caregivers.

“The benefit of the Expo is that it shines a light on topics we often prefer to keep hidden.

“By bringing together these talks and stalls in a public event, community members can come along with friends and family and begin having these very important conversations,” Cr Glade‑Wright said.

The Kingborough End of Life Expo will be held on Wednesday 25 March from 10am to 3pm at the Kingborough Community Hub.
