The reconstruction of Davies Road in Snug is now complete, with line marking the final stage of the project.
Acting Mayor Christian Street said this was an important upgrade for the local community, providing improved road surfaces, new footpaths, stormwater infrastructure and retaining walls.
“This project is helping ensure Davies Road is safer for residents and road users, particularly in a growing rural area,” Cr Street said.
“The extension of the footpath from Davies Road through to the Needlewood Road intersection is a significant improvement, supporting better pedestrian access and making it more accessible for families, older residents and visitors to get around safely.
“In communities like Snug, infrastructure improvements such as these make a real difference to everyday life by enhancing connectivity, supporting active transport and providing safer shared spaces.
“Investing in roads, footpaths and drainage helps ensure our infrastructure stands up to weather events and continues to support our growing community,” Cr Street said.
The Davies Road reconstruction will be completed once line marking is finalised by the end of June.
