Council is responding to an oil spill on Channel Highway between the McDonalds and Mitre 10 roundabout. The spill also extends to sections of Redwood Road and Maranoa Road.
Council crews are attending and clean-up is underway. Tasmania Police have been notified.
Motorists are advised to take extra care, reduce speed and allow for changing road conditions, as surfaces may be slippery.
