Kingborough’s annual Night of Lights lit up the Kingborough Community Hub on Friday night, drawing a great crowd of families and community members for an evening of entertainment, creativity and winter fun.
Acting Mayor Christian Street said it was wonderful to see so many people come together to celebrate the season and enjoy all the event had to offer.
“Night of Lights was a fantastic success, with families braving the winter chill to enjoy live music, creative activities, delicious food and the much-loved lantern parade,” Cr Street said.
“The event created a vibrant atmosphere across the Hub, with children and adults alike enjoying wonderful performances throughout the evening.
“A highlight of the night was seeing the community light up the lantern parade, followed by the impressive fire twirling performance from the Fyrebird Flow Collective and energetic dance performances from Rhythmz Bollywood Dance and Eternal Performing Arts.
“Thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the evening so special.
“We especially thank the many families who rugged up, braved the cold and joined us to celebrate with friends, neighbours and the wider community,” Cr Street said.
