Kingborough’s much-loved winter event, Night of Lights, returns on Friday, 10 July 2026, at the Kingborough Community Hub.
Acting Mayor Christian Street said Night of Lights is a highlight of Kingborough’s community events calendar, bringing people together to celebrate the winter season.
“This free event has something for everyone, with a vibrant program of live entertainment, family-friendly activities, and a spectacular lantern parade,” Cr Street said.
“From live music and creative activities to dazzling performances, Night of Lights offers a fantastic opportunity for families and friends to come together and enjoy a winter evening.
“There will be delicious food available from a variety of different food trucks and True Brew will be serving a selection of hot drinks
“Everyone is encouraged to bring their own lantern and join the parade to help light up the night.”
The program includes:
- 5pm Live music by Dave Wane, silent disco, henna art, face painting and food trucks
• 5:30pm Kids magic show with Daryl Peebles
• 6pm Lantern parade
• 6:30pm Fire twirling performance by the Fyrebird Flow Collective on the Hub lawns
• 7pm Rhythmz Bollywood dance performance
• 7:20pm Eternal Performing Arts performance
“We look forward to welcoming familiar faces back and seeing new families experience the magic of Night of Lights,” Cr Street said.
Night of Lights runs from 5pm to 8pm on Friday, 10 July.
