Works are continuing on the reconstruction of Wyburton Place in Margate, with all kerb and gutter works now complete and around 80 per cent of footpath and driveway works finished.
The remaining concrete works are expected to be completed soon, after which crews will prepare the road base for sealing. Once works at Wyburton Place are complete, the team will move to Clare Street to begin installing new stormwater infrastructure.
The upgrade is being welcomed by local residents and will deliver improved roads, footpaths and drainage for the area.

Work is progressing on the road reconstruction of the Wyburton Place in Margate.
Acting Mayor Christian Street said all stormwater, kerb and gutter works were now finished.
“Crews have now moved on to the next stage of the project, with footpath construction underway, including boxing preparation and concrete pours,” Cr Street said.
“Once complete, these works will provide residents with improved footpaths, better stormwater management and a safer, more comfortable street for everyone who uses it.”
Margate resident, Danny said the work had been progressing smoothly and that the contractor had done a great job keeping residents informed throughout the project.
