Events that are being held on Council owned or managed land require a permit. You may be required to fill out applications forms depending on your event.

In addition to the main Kingborough Art Prize exhibition, this year we will be awarding $300 to the winner of the Youth element of the Kingborough Art Prize. Open to young people aged 12 to 18 years.
The $300 prize will be judged on the basis of artistic merit and presentation.
The categories are:
- Painting (Including oil, acrylic, gouache, watercolour, mixed-media)
- Design/3D (Including ceramics, glass, jewellery, textiles, furniture, wood)
- Works on Paper (Including pastels, drawing, ink, digital art)
Online entries close: Monday, 31 August 2026, 5pm
Delivery of artwork to the Kingborough Community Hub: Monday, 14 September 2026, 8am – 4.30pm
Exhibition open at the Kingborough Community Hub: Thursday 17 September to Sunday 27 September 2026
Monday – Saturday: 10am – 5pm, Sundays: 10am – 3pm
Opening night: Friday 18 September, 5pm – 8pm
Unsold exhibits to be collected 3pm Sunday 27th September 2026
Young people 12-18 years who reside or attend school in Kingborough are encouraged to apply.
Applications from residents outside Kingborough will be accepted.
