GRIT Short Film Festival

20 May, 2023 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Be a part of the Kingston premiere of the latest and most exciting Tasmanian films from some of the best award-winning filmmakers in the state.

Inspired by the stories of grit of everyday Tasmanians, award-winning filmmakers tell stories of courage within the Tasmanian community.

The festival will feature short documentaries, dramas and comedies. Each film is a conversation starter – a way for the community to invite deeper discussion around some of the issues that impact Tasmanians.

Warnings: Parental guidance recommended | Some films have coarse language. One film deals with children having life limiting conditions. One film deals with suicide in a soft, creative way.
Films are not suitable for children.

GRiT is presented by Wide Angle Tasmania, with support from Tasmanian Community Fund.

There will be hot food and drinks, wine, snacks and treats available from The Coffee Hole which can be purchased before the event or during the intermission.
