Morning Nature Walks (Mental Health Week 2022)

About the events

Join our daily morning- or before work walks and enjoy a gentle stroll in a local reserve.  Activities will focus on the natural world around us, sensory input from the environment, chats about the new research into the health benefits of nature and offer some suggesting of where to go in Kingborough.

 

Monday 10 October – Denison Street Reserve

A mindful in nature walk through Denison Street Reserve with forest therapist Cassey Mays and Council’s Natural Areas Interpretation Officer. Enjoy focusing on connecting to nature.

Tuesday 11 October – Taroona Coastal Track

Walk a part of the Taroona Coastal track with local GP Anna Seth and Council’s Natural Areas Interpretation Officer. Enjoy chatting about how nature can help support our mental health and try a simple nature mindfulness practice.

Wednesday 12 October – Boronia Hill Reserve

A mindful in nature walk through with Boronia Hill reserve with Forest therapist Cassey Mays and Council’s Natural Areas Interpretation Officer. Enjoy focusing on connecting to nature

Thursday 13 October – Hawthorn Reserve

A mindful in nature walk through Hawthorn Reserve with Forest therapist Cassey Mays and Council’s Natural Areas Interpretation Officer (BJ)

Leaving from in front of the shop on Hawthorn drive, Kingston 8am

 

Friday 14 October – Boronia Hill Reserve

Walk through Boronia Hill Reserve with Council’s Natural Areas Interpretation Officer (BJ). Enjoy learning about the plants and animals that live here and how they interact.

Leaving from the connecting track at the top of Hutchins and Jindabyne Road 8am
