Nature walk for new residents

New to Kingborough and unfamiliar with the Tasmanian bush?
Join us for a friendly, short walk at Dru Point, Margate. No experience needed.
This guided walk is designed for adults who are new to Kingborough and want to feel more confident accessing the Tasmanian bush.
You will:
- Learn how to walk safely and confidently in local natural areas
- Get to know the Tasmanian bush and local wildlife
- Learn about where you can walk and visit to see nature in Kingborough
- Learn how to care for local natural areas
- Discover everything Dru Point has to offer
Finish with a hot drink, Australian snacks, and friendly conversation. Information provided about other local reserves and walks.
This walk is free, inclusive and welcoming. English language not a barrier. Participants are welcome to bring someone to support them if it makes them feel more at ease.
