Still Life Painting
June 26 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm
$45
Paint from a selection of beautiful classic vignettes including apples, pears and vessels to create still life works on paper using ink and gouache paint. Whether you are complete beginner or have experience, this is a lovely class in which to practice and explore classic still life painting.
Please note that preference will be given to Kingborough residents who have not attended a KIN Creative workshop before.
This workshop will be run by artist Averill Lawler.
Averill Lawler is a visual artist known for her wild beauty captured in her paintings, particularly focusing on Tasmania’s coastlines and wilderness. She grew up in the Derwent Estuary area, which has inspired her work, reflecting the fleeting light and natural elements of the region. Averill has been running art workshops, emphasizing the connection between art and the natural environment, and has a strong background in sculpture from her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Tasmania. Her artistic style often includes floral portraits and landscapes, showcasing the unique colors and textures of Tasmania’s coast.
