Kingborough Council is bound by the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Act 2004 (TAS) & the Personal Information Protection Principles that form part of the Act, and where applicable, also Commonwealth legislation in its collection, use, disclosure, and storage of personal information. Council will only seek to collect your information where it is necessary to do so and only in circumstances whereby the information being collected is for Council’s use and business and any personal information provided to Council will not be disclosed, other than for the purpose for which it was collected, unless consent to do so has been provided by you, and/or the Personal Information Protection Act 2004 (TAS) allows such disclosure.
If the requested information is not provided, Council will not be able to proceed with the subject action.
