Blackmans Bay Lantern Parade

Blackmans Bay Scout Group and Kingborough Council warmly invite everyone to join them in a lantern parade and community gathering at Blackmans Bay Beach on Friday 7 July.

The event is a celebration of community spirit, the end of the school term and the fun of venturing out on a brisk winter’s evening. Guests are encouraged to bring their own lanterns along to light the way (there will be no extra lanterns provided).

The Scouts will keep everyone warm with a fire and entertained with some active songs. There will also be fire twirling displays, shadow puppets, special glow-in-the-dark face painting and delicious tummy warming treats.

Meet on Blackmans Bay Beach in-between Hazell Street and Illawarra Road from 5.45 pm, (a marker lantern will light the way) for a short parade to the park beside Blackmans Bay Community Hall. All are welcome.

Special thanks to Harcourts Kingborough for supporting this community event.
