National Tree Day

Council invites everyone to take part in a community tree planting event on Sunday, 30 July from 10am to 2pm at Coffee Creek to celebrate National Tree Day.

There will be other activities to enjoy, including a guided walk and a free BBQ, kindly provided by the Lions Club of Kingborough. All equipment and plants are provided.

Coffee Creek is a very important landscape link and provides critical habitats to a number of animals, including the endangered Forty-Spotted Pardalote. The planting will complement the recent stormwater works and will help to improve the health of the area.

The site is 250m along the Coffee Creek Track, which is situated off Patriarch Drive, Huntingfield. Please remember to wear sturdy shoes and suitable clothing.
