Summer fun for Children and Young People

Banish School holiday boredom with some summer fun for children and young people.

Get Ready for Work | 4,5,6,7 January | 9am – 4.30pm| Ages 15-21 | Kingborough Community Hub | $185

This four day course includes training in the following: First Aid, RSA, Barista, CV writing, interview techniques and Safe Food Handling. Participant must attend each day. Any enquiries please contact 62118290.

Barista Bootcamp | 9am – 12.30 & 1pm – 4.30pm | Mon 10 & Tues 11 January | Ages 14-19 |  Kingborough Community Hub | $60

Intensive 2 day barista training. Looking to work in hospitality? Learn to make coffee. Inhouse certificate awarded to participants.

Please book for either group A or group B. Participants must attend both days.

Wildlife spotlight walk | Wednesday 19 January | 7.30pm – 9.30pm |   Ages 10-17 | Mt Pleasant Rd, Kingston | FREE

Join us for a walk at dusk to explore the local wildlife at dusk into dark with Kingborough’s Natural Areas Interpretation Officer. Bring a torch and warm clothes. Only 10 minutes drive from the centre of Kingston. A map of how to get to the start of the walk will be emailed to participants before the event.

Surfing | Tuesday 25 January | Ages 12-18 | Clifton Beach| $30

Join us for a day of adventure at Clifton Beach with South Coast Surf School. Suitable for beginners and experienced participants. Transport, wetsuits and surfboards provided.

Stand Up Paddle Boarding| Tuesday 1 February | 10am – 11am & 11am – 12pm | Ages 12-18 |Kingston Beach | $15

Two x one hour SUP clinics on the water with Blue Lagoon SUP & Surf – Tuesday 1 February.

Cartooning and zines art workshop | Wednesday 2 February | 2pm – 4pm| Ages 10- 17 | Kingborough Community Hub| $15

Expand your artistic skills to create unique cartoons and zines with artist, Leigh Rigozzi.

Priority will be given to young people who reside in the Kingborough municipality.
