The Clay Habitat Exhibition and Opening

Little penguin nesting modules for the threatened colonies of the Derwent Estuary

An exhibition of art work with a purpose. Acclaimed Tasmanian Ceramic artists have collaborated with little penguin scientists to design and create “Clay Habitat’ – ceramic little penguin nesting modules that will be installed in local penguin breeding colonies. The artists have used the known science around Penguin needs and creatively designed and made 15 beautiful nesting modules. These modules will be  on display at the ‘Clay Habitat’ exhibition (28th – 31 Oct). Works are available to purchase to ‘gift into habitat’ – an opportunity for the community to contribute to innovative conservation of an iconic species.

Exhibition opening from 6pm on Thursday 28th October. All welcome but venue has a capacity due to COVID restrictions.

Exhibition open daily from 28th – 31st October, 10am – 4pm
