Following a successful grant from the Building Better Regions Fund from the Federal Government of $2.8 million, Kingborough’s Community Hub opened its doors in March 2019.
The Community Hub is a striking building in the heart of Kingston Park and is a flexible facility for future changing demands.
There is a multi-purpose community hall, meeting rooms, flexible workspace, and covered town square, public amenities and storage. A café space has also been developed. The Hub will be able to host a variety of community and cultural activities, events and exhibitions.
The building design is the result of an architectural design competition conducted in conjunction with the Australian Institute of Architects in 2016. March Studios was selected as the winners and have designed a high quality building, which sets a standard for all subsequent development on this 11-hectare site.
There are a variety of spaces available for hire, with reduced rates for Not for Profit, Educational and Community uses.
Contact our Community Hub Coordinator for more information on how to book and availability at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 6211 8155.
