Each year Council provides funding to community groups through its Community Grants Program.
Grants are available to Kingborough based, not for profit organisations, for projects that provide a benefit within the local community. Council encourages groups completing an application to provide detailed information, including quotes and benefits, to make sure all the necessary criteria are met.
The Community Grants Programs support activities and initiatives such as:
• Community health and wellbeing
• Arts and culture
• Community development
• Heritage and history
• Sport and recreation
• Festivals and events
• Environmental projects
• Sustainable living

Quick Response grants are designed to respond to unique opportunities that present at short notice. Applicants are encouraged to only apply for what they need and to note that the assessor can choose to part-fund requests if deemed appropriate.
