Kingborough Council is developing a Community Services Strategy 2027–2032, following a recommendation endorsed at the Council meeting on 16 February 2026.
The new strategy will help guide how services and programs are planned and delivered in the future.
Who is this engagement for?
This engagement is aimed at people aged 60 and over who live in Kingborough. Feedback will help Council better understand local priorities and make sure future community services reflect the needs and experiences of older residents in Kingborough.
Why your input matters
Community input is a core part of the development of the Community Services Strategy. Your feedback will help Council:
• Understand current needs and emerging issues for older people
• Identify future priorities
• Understand how Council can best support wellbeing, participation and inclusion
• Ensure the Strategy reflects an accurate and authentic representation of people aged 60 and over
This consultation is about understanding what matters most to seniors in Kingborough, now and into the future.
How to get involved
Online survey
People aged 60 and over are invited to complete an online survey to share their experiences, ideas and priorities.

Printed copies of the survey are available from:

Direct engagement
In addition to the survey, Community Development staff will engage directly with selected individuals and groups within the senior cohort to ensure a broad range of perspectives are heard.
The survey will be open from 26 June until 10 August 2026.
What happens next?
The outcomes of this engagement will help inform the broader Community Services Strategy 2027–2032.
Findings from the consultation will be presented at a future Council meeting.
