Youth Community Engagement

Kingborough Council is developing a Community Services Strategy 2027–2032, following a recommendation endorsed at the Council meeting on 16 February 2026.

The new strategy will help guide how services and programs are planned and delivered in the future.

Who is this engagement for?

This engagement is aimed at young people aged 12–25 who live, study, work, or spend time in Kingborough. Feedback will help Council better understand local priorities and make sure future community services reflect the needs and experiences of Kingborough’s youth.

Why your input matters

Community input is a core part of the development of the Community Services Strategy. Your feedback will help Council:
• Understand current needs and emerging issues for young people
• Identify future priorities
• Understand how Council can best support wellbeing, participation and inclusion
• Ensure the Strategy reflects an accurate and authentic representation of young people’s voices

This consultation is about understanding what matters most to the youth of Kingborough, now and into the future.

How to get involved

The survey will be open from 17 April until 22 May 2026.

What happens next?
The outcomes of this engagement will help inform the broader Community Services Strategy 2027–2032. Findings from the consultation will be presented at a future Council meeting.
