YAK meets on the first Tuesday of the month at the Kingborough Community Hub, 4pm – 5pm. The group helps to plan activities, assists at community events and has a voice on Council projects.

Kingborough Council is calling for Expressions of Interest for young people to join Youth Action Kingborough (YAK).
YAK provides an opportunity for young people to be involved in Council activities and helps develop leadership skills.
YAK is actively involved with our community projects and works closely with our Community Development team to help initiate, organise and plan events.
Ideas raised through YAK have motivated many great events such as the youth markets and drop-in sessions which create friendly spaces for young people here in Kingborough.
YAK meets once a month in Kingston at our fantastic Kingborough Community Hub.
To join YAK you must be:
– Between 13 and 25 years of age
– Committed to attending monthly meetings (every first Tuesday of the month)
– Living or studying in Kingborough.
