Community Halls & Facilities

Halls

Council-owned halls are available for hire across the municipality, catering to large and small groups. 

Our facilities map will assist in locating a hall and the fees and charges will provide you with information regarding the cost of hiring a hall.

Please contact our Customer Services Team on (03) 6211 8200 to obtain a quote and to make a reservation. 

You will then be required to complete a Hall Hire Form. Please read the Guidelines for Hall Hire and full Terms and Conditions for Community Halls Hire.

Fees are to be paid in full at time of booking.

KIN Creative Space

Facilities

Blackmans Bay Community Hall

Location: 24 Ocean Esplanade, Blackmans Bay

   Outside of Blackmans Bay Hall

Maximum capacity: 50 people

Car Parking:

  • Bitumen surface
  • 12 marked spaces
  • 1 disability space
  • Additional parking available along foreshore or in surrounding streets

Kitchen Facilities:

  • Electric Oven and Stove with 4 hot plates
  • Fridge
  • Microwave
  • Hot Water Boiler/Urn

Any foodstuffs, cutlery, crockery and cleaning materials will need to be supplied by the individual hirer of the hall.

Toilet Facilities:

  • Female x 2 cubicles
  • Male x 1 cubicle
  • 1 urinal
  • No dedicated all access facility (nearest available is on beach foreshore)
  • 1x Baby change table

Other Facilities:

  • 4 trestle tables
  • 64 chairs
  • Stage
  • Heating available in hall and meeting room

Kingston Beach Hall

Location: 20 Beach Road, Kingston Beach

The Kingston Beach Hall is located within the business precinct of Kingston Beach on Beach Road.

The building consists of a large hall space with wooden floor and stage, a kitchenette, accessible male, female and disability access bathroom facilities.

Maximum capacity: 120 people

Car Parking

  • Parking available in Council owned carpark at 14 Beach Road or in surrounding streets
  • Please note the car park adjacent to the hall is privately owned and does not belong to the hall

Kitchen Facilities:

  • Fridge/Freezer
  • Microwave
  • Kettle
  • Toaster Oven

Any foodstuffs, cutlery, crockery and cleaning materials will need to be supplied by the individual hirer of the hall.

  • Trestle Tables x 12 (4 extra long)
  • Chairs x 86
  • Ceiling mounted Projectors x 2 (on request only) —one facing rear wall above stage, other facing front wall above entry. HDMI cable and auxiliary audio connections required. Remote controls to power and use projectors are available upon request from Customer Service.

Margate Hall

Location: 1755 Channel Highway, Margate

Maximum capacity: 120 people

Parking: Parking facilities beside the hall

The Margate Hall is located on the corner of Channel Highway and Van Morey Road in Margate.

Adjacent is the Margate Memorial Oval.

The building consists of a large hall space with wooden floor and stage, 2 small utility/storage rooms to the rear of the building, a kitchenette, and newly constructed internal and externally accessible male, female and disability access bathroom facilities.

Sandfly Hall

Location: 811 Sandfly Road, Sandfly
(approximately 500m along Sandfly Road after turning off from the Huon Highway ‐ just past the service station)

Sandfly Hall is located on the corner of Sandfly Road and Pelverata Road in Sandfly.

The building consists of a large hall space with wooden floor and stage, a meeting room to the rear of the building, a kitchenette, internal accessible female bathroom and externally accessible male bathroom.

Maximum capacity: 100 people

Parking:

Gravel surface, non marked spaces, no dedicated disabled spaces

Kitchen Facilities:

  • Fridge
  • Electric oven and stove with 4 hot plates
  • Hot water boiler/urn

Any foodstuffs, cutlery, crockery and cleaning materials will need to be supplied by the individual hirer of the hall.
