DESCRIPTION | Nestled within the Blackmans Bay area, Mary Knoll Reserve is a precious sanctuary, cradling one of the last natural watercourses in the region. Surrounded by a picturesque canopy of black gums, the vegetation community located within the reserve (Eucalyptus ovata (black gum) forest and woodland) is recognised as endangered and as such, is protected. Mary knoll is not only a refuge for native flora but also a vital haven for endangered swift parrots during their breeding season. | |
