Kingborough Council is responsible for the municipality’s roads, reserves, sports facilities, stormwater systems and solid waste management. In order to maintain the local infrastructure, we undertake a schedule of planned works every year. These works are a combination of ongoing maintenance work, as well as new developments.
Our road network alone includes 271 kilometres of sealed road, 266 kilometres of unsealed road and 82 bridges. As well as the road surface, Council is also responsible for maintenance of the kerb and gutter and footpaths within the various towns.
Our Works Department has a schedule of maintenance activities and capital works projects that are delivered over a two year period.
