The Huntingfield development project is entering Stages 2 and 3.
Stages 2 and 3 are located adjacent to the Peter Murrell Reserve where some threatened/endangered species are located. Public comment and feedback is now open on the assessment under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act).
All relevant information can be viewed until 17th February 2022:
- in person at Kingborough Council Channel Highway, Kingston Library and the State Library of Tasmania
- online at https://www.communities.tas.gov.au/housing/huntingfield or;
- email housing.projects@communities.tas.gov.au to request an electronic copy of the EPBC Act.
The Huntingfield development and associated public consultation process on the environmental documents is led by the Communities Tasmania. All enquiries in relation to the above must be directed to the Department of Communities.
