Seeking volunteers for Manor Gardens

Do you enjoy helping others and have time to spend in a friendly and happy place?

The Manor Gardens Day Respite Centre is looking for volunteers to support staff and help us to provide a safe and happy environment for our clients.

The Centre provides social activities, transport to and from home, and a two-course hot lunch for senior residents in Kingborough. We have qualified aged care staff; however we rely on and value the contribution from a dedicated team of volunteers.

Patience, a sense of humour, and an interest in helping others are the only qualities required. We also welcome volunteers with skills such as gardening, art and crafts, music or previous care experience.

Our volunteers assist with delivering fun activities such as physical games or quizzes, providing company and conversation with our club members, and assisting with transport on our bus. They play a valuable part in enriching the lives of our club members and enable this wonderful service to continue.

If you feel like this may be of interest to you, or if you would like some more information, please contact Emma on 6211 8181.
