The stormwater diversion trial to deter seagulls has ended, due to the impacts it has had on the sand dune. Council officers assessed the site this morning and removed the trial due to the damage the water was having on the flora and on the stability of the sand dune.
The trial has given Council useful information, however a long-term trench along the beach will not be suitable. Other solutions continued to be investigated.
