Kingborough Council will host a Health and Wellness Day for teens on Tuesday 11 October as part of the School Holiday Program.
Mayor, Paula Wriedt, said it was important that Council could facilitate a range of workshops over Mental Health Week for our young people.
“There will be a variety of sessions all aimed at supporting a healthy lifestyle,” Cr Wriedt said.
“The sessions will particularly focus on reducing anxiety, learning relaxation techniques, as well as improving resilience.
“The program involves vinyasa yoga, mandala drawing, tapping techniques and yin yoga.
“Participants will also get to make their own healthy lunch as part of the day.
“This will be a fun opportunity to focus on your health and learn some invaluable techniques to take into everyday life.
“The sessions will be held in the Kingborough Community Hub and cater for young people aged 12 to 18 years of age.”
The day runs from 10 am – 3pm for bookings visit Kingborough Eventbrite.
