Night of Lights 2025

Kingborough’s much-loved winter event, Night of Lights, is back on Friday, 25 July 2025, at the Kingborough Community Hub from 4pm to 8pm.

Mayor, Paula Wriedt said the Night of Lights was a highlight of the community events calendar in Kingborough.

“This free event has something for everyone, and will feature local entertainment, delicious food, original performances and a lantern parade,” Cr Wriedt said.

“Everyone is encouraged to bring their own lantern for the parade, which will be followed by a specially curated indoor performance by the Sands Family and then an exciting fire twirling show on the Hub lawns.

“For the first time at the Night of Lights, there will be the vibrant Holy Lion Dance to bring even more energy and colour to the event.

Full program highlights:

• 4:00 pm – Live music by local favourite Embers Duo, kids craft room featuring neon face painting, hair feathers, beaded jewellery making and more
• 5:00 pm – Interactive poi workshop on the Hub lawns
