Permanent changes to Council’s No Spray Register

Kingborough Council is pleased to announce an important update to its No Spray Register and Guidelines, aimed at simplifying the process for property owners.

Mayor Paula Wriedt said all property owners currently listed on the 2024–2026 No Spray Register will no longer be required to re-apply in July 2026.

“To maintain roadside vegetation, Council undertakes a spraying program within both urban and rural areas of Kingborough, using Government approved herbicides,” said Cr Wriedt.

“However, some residents may wish to manage their own roadside vegetation by applying for the No Spray Register.

“Once an application is approved by Council’s Roads Supervisor, registration will now remain in place permanently.

“This change also applies to all future approved applications, which will be maintained on the register indefinitely without the need for renewal.

“Please note, spraying along State Highways, including the Channel Highway and Bruny Island Main Road is managed by the State Government and is not covered under Kingborough Council’s No Spray Register.”
