Tasmania’s most generous market, the Really Really Free Market, returns to the Kingborough Community Hub on Saturday, 14 February.
Mayor, Paula Wriedt said if decluttering is part of your New Year’s plan, the first Really Really Free Market for 2026 could be your opportunity kick-start that plan.
“February is the perfect time to declutter, highlighting the importance of creating organised living spaces while supporting those in need,” Cr Wriedt said.
“The Really Really Free Market provides residents with the opportunity to gift their good quality reusable items to other members of the community.
“This initiative is about giving back to the community and promoting recycling.
“People are encouraged to sort through their belongings, find items that they no longer want or need and then to donate them.
“This prevents items from being sent to landfill and allows others to reuse or repurpose these unwanted treasures, creating a win/win solution for the issue of household clutter.
“The Really Really Free Market will feature 35 tables of items to give away and will run from 12noon to 1pm.
“The market is held four times per year with tables now sold out for the February market,” Cr Wriedt said.
