Original post
Recent water sampling at our middle sampling site at Blackmans Bay Beach has detected elevated levels of pollution.
This is likely from contaminated stormwater entering the beach from the catchment above.
Swimming is temporarily not recommended at this location.
A no swim advisory remains for the southern end of the beach due to poor water quality.
Water quality remains good for swimming at the northern end of Blackmans Bay Beach.
Keep a look out for advisory signage at the beach and refer to the attached map for where to swim.
Council officers are continuing to monitor water quality at this site.
Signage will be removed once results confirm the water quality meets public health standards.
