Try Belly Dance – A Beginner-Friendly Cultural Experience

Join us for a welcoming beginner workshop and discover one of the world’s oldest and most expressive dance forms with Natasha, who recently performed alongside her students at Council’s Harmony Day event.

Originating in the Middle East as a cultural and social tradition, belly dance is now celebrated globally for its ability to enhance strength, posture, and emotional well-being.

This session is designed especially for complete beginners—no dance experience needed! All ages, body types, and fitness levels are warmly welcome.

What you’ll Enjoy:

  • A relaxed environment
  • Easy-to-follow movements
  • A fun and supportive space to try something new

Wear comfortable clothing – belly dance scarves will be provided for use during the session

This workshop is proudly supported by the Tasmanian Government as part of the “Kingborough Together” initiative, encouraging community members from all backgrounds to share their unique cultural traditions and experiences with the Kingborough community.
