Bringing together local museums and history groups in southern Tasmania.
Ten museums & history groups in one room
Kingborough Community Hub,
7 Goshawk Way, Kingston
10am – 4pm
CONFERENCE
Saturday, 11 October
With 6 speakers, from 9.30am – 3.30pm
Speakers include:
* Andrew Tomes, who will talk about using eHive to manage museum collections.
* Warwick Lee will talk about the Tasmanian parliamentary papers
1856-1901 which have recently been digitised in a large project.
* Dr. Imogen Wegman will speak about the Family History programme at UTAS.
* Fiona Cameron from Volunteering Tasmania will be talking on the benefits of being a member of VT.
* Lara Colrain – Curator from the Channel Museum will speak on preserving artefacts, and author and historian Richie Woolley will also speak.
The exhibition is gold coin donation, and children free.
