Hardship Applications

Kingborough Council  recognises that many in our community are experiencing hardship as the coronavirus pandemic impacts lives and businesses.

The economic situation will also have a significant impact on Council and our budget.

Council now faces significant deficits over the next few years and will take on debt to support continued operations.  Due to this, we will need to target what support we can to those who need it most.  At its meeting on 22 June 2020, Council approved a Financial Hardship Policy.  The policy means that application can be made to Council for rates relief for Residential ratepayers, Commercial/Industrial ratepayers, and rental relief for tenants of Council properties.

The online forms are available below.
