Kingborough Council is committed to encouraging an active and healthy community. To develop a Health and Wellbeing plan for the community, Council will be running a public engagement with the community.
The engagement will involve:
- community survey,
- consultation with health professionals,
- public workshops and events
Through this engagement Council will investigate future ways of increasing social inclusion and connectivity through our nature, arts and cultural programs.
Council will look at ways to facilitate connection with those who are isolated and/or not currently participating in health/wellbeing programs.
TIMELINE
The survey will be available for 4 weeks from Monday 21 August until Monday 18 September 2023.
The whole engagement period will run for approximately 8 weeks with consultation with health professionals and workshops and events.
Once the engagement is completed, an engagement report will be produced which will inform the development of a Kingborough Health and Wellbeing Plan.
Council will aim to launch the Kingborough Health and Wellbeing Plan for World Health Day in April 2024.
SURVEYS
The online surveys should take about 6 minutes to complete. Please share the survey with others, so that we can get as many voices heard as possible.
If you would like to fill out a hard copy of the survey, please visit the Kingston Library or come into the Civic Centre Channel Highway Kingston.
WORKSHOPS/EVENTS
The public engagement will also involve community health events and workshops throughout Kingborough.
