Kingborough Multicultural Survey Launch

Kingborough Council is committed to creating a community that is inclusive, safe, welcoming and respectful for all.

To better understand and address the needs of our multicultural communities, Council has formed a Multicultural Advisory Group with members of the community and Councillors.

Kingborough Mayor, Paula Wriedt said the advisory group is helping Council engage with the Kingborough’s multicultural communities.

“Kingborough has one of the highest multicultural populations, with over 21% of residents born overseas here, compared the rest of Tasmania which has 15% born overseas,” Cr Wriedt said.

“Our Multicultural Advisory Group has assisted Council in the development of a community survey.

“The feedback we receive from this engagement will inform the development of a Multicultural Action Plan to better address the needs of our multicultural communities.

The community survey will be available online until the 12 October. See website for more information

A hard copy of the survey will be available at the Council Civic Centre in Kingston.
