Kingborough Council is inviting young people aged 12 and over to get involved in Term 2 activities at the Kingborough Community Hub.
Mayor Paula Wriedt said the program offers a mix of creative, practical and social opportunities designed to build skills, confidence and connection within the local community.
“A highlight of our term 2 program is free job‑ready workshops delivered by the Southern Employment Training Network, helping young people develop strong CVs and interview skills,” Cr Wriedt said.
“For our creative youth, there are hands‑on sessions such as jewellery making, snack and sketch art workshops, and a juices and mocktails class.
“Young people can also get involved in shaping local initiatives through Youth Action Kingborough (YAK) meetings, where participants can share ideas and help plan future events.
“The program also encourages submissions for the upcoming 2026 ‘King Zine’ (short for magazine), with young people invited to submit artwork, writing, recipes or stories for publication.
“Another way for young people to shape future activities and services is through the current youth survey, with the deadline extended to Monday 15 June,” Cr Wriedt said.
