Events that are being held on Council owned or managed land require a permit. You may be required to fill out applications forms depending on your event.

Cake Decorating Competition!
Decorate your own cake at home and enter for the chance to win prizes!
Celebrate the TasPride Summer Festival with us and come along for a cuppa and vote for your favourite cake design.
Categories and prizes:
- 8 – 12’s – 6 standard cupcakes decorated incorporating a theme. Will not be cut or tasted – Tsubame Sushi voucher $100
- 13 – 18 year’s – Rainbow Cake 20 cm round iced and decorated. Will be cut but not tasted – Minimax voucher $200
- Open award – Novelty Cake with a diversity theme. Will be cut but not tasted – Minimax voucher $500
- People’s Choice – Salty Dog voucher $100
This is an all-inclusive community event. Please note that we require a certain number of entries for this event go to ahead. Entries close 5pm Friday 13 February 2026.
Free tea and coffee will be available.
