Kingborough Council and the Lions Club of Kingborough have partnered to deliver the Kingborough Art Prize Exhibition & sale at the Kingborough Community Hub, 7 Goshawk Way Kingston.
The exhibition will open on Thursday 18 September at 10 am, with the official opening event on Friday 19 September, starting at 5 pm. Winning exhibits will be selected by an independent, professional judging panel, and announced on the night.
The exhibition will have a non-acquisition first prize of $1,500 for the best work exhibited, and three category prizes, each of $600. In addition to the main exhibition, and to encourage young artists, this year will include a youth prize of $300, sponsored by Kingborough Council.

The $1,500 Art Prize will be awarded by the judging panel to an artwork in any medium on any subject.
A $600 award will be made in each of the following categories.
Paintings incl. oil, acrylic, gouache, watercolour & mixed media.
Design / 3D incl. Ceramics, glass, jewellery, textiles, furniture & wood.
Works on Paper incl. pastels, drawing, ink & digital art
The $300 youth prize will be awarded by the judging panel to an artwork in any medium (paintings/ design/3D or works on paper) on any subject.
Youth aged up to 18 years will be eligible for the prize.
