Post 2 in KIND ACTS Art is brought to you by local Kingston Makers’ ‘Gorgie and Me’.
You may have met the creators at Love Living Locally 2020, where they had a stall showcasing their stunning range of linen clothing.
Follow along with this great tutorial they have created and please share what you’ve made using the following tags: #kckindacts #kcart #kindactsart #kingboroughinspirationnetwork
Here’s a fun creative idea with no age limits and that requires no specialist art equipment. It’s easy, fun and quite addictive! It’s also a nice mindfulness / meditation activity too!
- Go into your garden or a local park if you’re not sheltering at home and gather a variety of dried leaves. Gum leaves work well, but interesting shaped leaves work well too.
- Gather a variety of pens, white-out, permanent markers, crayons etc and decorate your leaves. Repetitive patterns are effective, but faces, words and scenes work well too!
- You can display your leaves with tape on the wall, thread them together and make a mobile, or pop one in the post to let someone know you’re thinking of them- grandparents would love a bit of snail mail!
- Post your creations online and use the tags #kckindacts #kingboroughcouncil so we can see your contribution.
Here are some great links if you’re feeling stuck for ideas too!
