Kingborough Huon Basketball Association

About the association:

Kingborough-Huon Basketball Association (KHBA) is a new structure and new direction for basketball in the Kingborough-Huon region
The association has been formed from the same committee, volunteers, coaches, players and officials that have always been involved with Kingborough Basketball Association and the Kingston Kings along with some new faces
The vision is to bring all basketball operations for the region under the one umbrella in order to provide the best basketball product and service

How and why it has been formed:

The association has been formed to maximise the potential growth of basketball in the region
This structure will allow us to plan and implement development programs more effectively
Forming one association will allow us to provide a pathway from Aussie Hoops and our juniors right through to state teams, SBL and beyond
Having a full-time, general manager will allow us to provide more support for our existing pool of volunteers

What we will be providing:

KHBA will work in conjunction with the Kingborough Sports Centre to run local rosters and tournaments
We will continue to provide pathways to the SBL and BHJ through our representative team the Kingborough-Huon Kings
We will provide development programs and pathways for players, coaches, referees and volunteers
